The PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dharamgarh library system collectively support the teaching, research, and extension programs of the Vidyalaya. All students, Teachers, and Staff of the Vidyalaya are entitled to make use of the library facilities by taking library membership. The library offers various facilities to the users like collaboration learning space, Modern reading room, etc. The library frequently organizes various programs/activities for the students and employees.
पीएम श्री केन्द्रीय विद्यालय, धरमगढ़ पुस्तकालय प्रणाली सामूहिक रूप से विद्यालय के शिक्षण, अनुसंधान और विस्तार कार्यक्रमों का समर्थन करती है। विद्यालय के सभी छात्र, शिक्षक और कर्मचारी पुस्तकालय की सदस्यता लेकर पुस्तकालय सुविधाओं का उपयोग करने के हकदार हैं। पुस्तकालय उपयोगकर्ताओं को सहयोगात्मक शिक्षण स्थान, आधुनिक वाचनालय आदि जैसी विभिन्न सुविधाएँ प्रदान करता है। पुस्तकालय अक्सर छात्रों और कर्मचारियों के लिए विभिन्न कार्यक्रम/गतिविधियाँ आयोजित करता है।

Objectives of the Library:
1. Supporting and enhancing educational goals as outlined in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan’s mission and curriculum.
2. Be the knowledge hub of the school and disseminate knowledge as widely as possible.
3. Provide a curriculum-based, flexibly scheduled, open access learning environment that accommodates all learners.
4. Facilitate optimal use of knowledge by all staff and students.
5. Encourage and foster reading habit among staff and students.
6. Effectively participate in the teaching-learning programmes of the school.
पुस्तकालय के उद्देश्य :
1. केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगठन के मिशन और पाठ्यक्रम में उल्लिखित शैक्षिक लक्ष्यों का समर्थन करना और उन्हें बढ़ाना।
2. स्कूल का ज्ञान केंद्र बनें और ज्ञान को यथासंभव व्यापक रूप से प्रसारित करें।
3. एक पाठ्यक्रम-आधारित, लचीले ढंग से निर्धारित, खुली पहुंच वाला शिक्षण वातावरण प्रदान करें जो सभी शिक्षार्थियों को समायोजित कर सके।
4. सभी कर्मचारियों और छात्रों द्वारा ज्ञान के इष्टतम उपयोग की सुविधा प्रदान करना।
5. कर्मचारियों और छात्रों के बीच पढ़ने की आदत को प्रोत्साहित और बढ़ावा देना।

The library should adopt a set of rules for its proper functioning:
1. All students and staff of the school are members of the library.
2. A student can borrow only two books at a time for a period of two weeks.
3. A staff member can borrow maximum five books at a time for a period of one month.
4. Books will be issued to the students, during the library periods. No book will be issued or returned during the teaching hours.
5. Marking, underlining or writing on library books, periodicals, and newspapers is strictly forbidden.
6. Reference books and current periodicals will not be issued to any member. These can be consulted only in the library.
7. If the books are not returned within the specified time it will be viewed seriously and fine will be charged as per rules.
8. The librarian may call for a book at any time, even if the normal period of loan has not expired.
9. In case of book is misused, wrongly handled or lost the person concerned will have to replace the book or pay the current market price of the book.
10. After reading, make sure that the books, periodicals and newspapers are kept back at their respective places.
11. The members should take good care of library furnishings and equipment. Make sure the library looks as good when you leave as it did when you came in.
12. Drink and food are not allowed in the Library.
13. Library computers are for academic purpose only. Do not tamper with the computer settings. Follow the internet safety guidelines.
