About Library

• This Institute has a huge library which contains books on various aspects of tribal culture, traditions, customs,
development, statistics, also having good collection of Government Gazetteers, Reports, Census of States of India, Supreme
Court cases, Bombay Law reporter etc. In all approximately 20000 books of different categories are available in this
Library.
• The Library purchases various subjects books and Periodicals every year e.g. Anthropology, Sociology, Tribal Education,
Tribal Culture, Tribal Development, Law, Economics, Education, General Knowledge (for competitive exam preparation),
Government Publications, Encyclopedia on various subjects, Reference Books on Tribal and other dept., Fiction, Nonfiction
and motivational books.
• The library subscribes popular magazines and daily newspapers. e.g Economic & Political weekly, Co-operative perspective,
Lokprabha, Saptahik Sakal, Lokrajya, Dakshata etc.

सध्या आदिवासी संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्था, महाराष्ट्र राज्य, पुणे ही एक महाराष्ट्र शासनाची स्वायत्त संस्था असून या संस्थेची स्थापना सन १९६२ मध्ये केंद्र पुरस्कृत योजनेअंतर्गत करण्यात आली. आदिवासी विषयावरील विविध बाबींवर संशोधन करण्यासाठी देशातील काही आदिवासी बहुल राज्यात आदिवासी संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्था कार्यरत आहेत.
आदिवासी संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्था ही गेली ५० वर्षे आदिवासी विषयाबाबत अभ्यास करणारी तसेच आदिवासी या विषयाच्या अनुषंगाने विविध प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम राबविणारी राज्यातील एकमेव शासकीय संस्था आहे. या संस्थेच्या कामाची नोंद घेऊन केंद्र शासनाने या संस्थेला देशातील सर्व आदिवासी संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्थेकरिता नोडल एजन्सी म्हणून नियुक्ती केलेली आहे.
आदिवासी संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्थेचा २०१३ मध्ये सुवर्ण महोत्सव साजरा करण्यात आला व या सुवर्ण महोत्सवाचे उदघाटन तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपती मा.श्री.प्रणब मुखर्जी यांच्या शुभहस्ते झाले. या प्रसंगी या आदिवासी सशोधन तसेच आदिवासींच्या सर्वांगीण विकासाकरिता शासनास सल्ला व मार्गदर्शन करण्याच्या अनुषगांगने संस्थेच्या मूळ उदिष्टयांची व्याप्ती वाढवून शासन निर्णय २४ डिसेंबर २०१३ नुसार उदिष्टये निश्चित करुन या संस्थेला स्वायत्त संस्थेचा दर्जा देण्यात आला

• The Tribal Research & Training Institute, Pune was established on 1st May, 1962. The Institute is headed by Commissioner,
TRTI. He is assisted by Joint Director and Dy. Director (I.A.D.P.).
• The Institute undertakes research studies on various aspects of tribal’s. It also does evaluation studies in order to assess
the impact of developmental programmes / schemes on the life of the tribal people in the State.
• The Institute has been conducting in-service training programmes since 1970. It also conducts special training programmes
for tribal youths who appear for M.P.S.C. and other competitive examinations. The Institute also conducts Youth Leadership
Training Programmes for tribal youths in Tribal Sub Plan Areas all over the State.
• The Government has established Eight Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committees at Pune / Nashik / Nagpur / Thane /
Aurangabad / Amravati / Nandurbar and Gadchiroli which work under the Chairmanship of the Commissioner, T.R.T.I. There
exists separate Vigilance cells in each Scrutiny Committee for assisting them in their work.
• Tribal Research and Training Institute has Tribal Cultural Museum located in its premises. All facets of life of tribal’s
of Maharashtra are displayed in the Museum. The Institute has got a rich Library which serves as reference library on
tribal’s.

• 1 मे 1 9 62 रोजी आदिवासी संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्था स्थापन करण्यात आली.आयुक्त, टीआरटीआय या संस्थेचे प्रमुख आहेत. संयुक्त निदेशक आणि
उपजिल्हाधिकारी यांनी त्यांना मदत केली आहे. संचालक (आयए.डी.डी.) आदिवासींच्या विविध पैलूंवर संशोधन कार्य हाती घेते.
• राज्यातील आदिवासी लोकांच्या जीवनावर विकासात्मक कार्यक्रम / योजनांचा प्रभाव पडताळण्यासाठी मूल्यांकन अभ्यास देखील करतात.
• संस्था 1970 पासून सेवा-प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित करत आहे. एम.पी.एस.सी. मध्ये उपस्थित असलेल्या
आदिवासी युवकांसाठी विशेष प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम देखील आयोजित केले जातात. आणि इतर स्पर्धात्मक परीक्षा. संपूर्ण राज्यभर आदिवासी उपयोजना क्षेत्रातील
आदिवासी युवकांसाठी युवक नेतृत्व प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित करते.
• पुणे, नासिक / नागपूर / ठाणे / औरंगाबाद / अमरावती / नंदुरबार आणि गडचिरोली येथे आठ अनुसूचित जमाती प्रमाणपत्र छाननी समित्या स्थापन केल्या आहेत. या
समितीचे अध्यक्ष टी.आर.टी.आय. यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली कार्यरत आहेत. प्रत्येक कार्य तपासणी समितीत त्यांच्या कामात मदत करण्यासाठी स्वतंत्र सतर्कता कक्ष
आहेत.
• आदिवासी संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्थेमध्ये आदिवासी सांस्कृतिक संग्रहालय आहे. महाराष्ट्रातील आदिवासींचे जीवनभरातील सर्व पैलू दर्शवितो संग्रहालयात.
• आदिवासींचे संदर्भ ग्रंथालय म्हणून संस्थेला एक ग्रंथालय उपलब्ध आहे.
