The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is the premier institution of fashion education in India. Established in 1986, NIFT has evolved as a Centre of Excellence and has been accorded statutory status under the act of Parliament of India in 2006. Presently, it has fifteen professionally managed centres at Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Raebareli and Shillong.

NIFT has collaborations with leading fashion institutes and organizations across the globe. Each NIFT Centre has a Resource Centre (RC) and all the fifteen RCs are co-ordinated by the National Resource Centre (NRC). RCs have developed rich collections of print sources in the form of books, monographs and periodicals. Access to leading online databases in the areas of design, management and technology are offered to the users through centralized services of NRC. RCs also have rich repositories of non-print materials including digital and analog learning sources, textiles, costumes and fashion accessories. Each RC caters to the information needs of the students and faculty of NIFT.

The Resource Centres also provide fee-based information services to local industry and entrepreneurs as well as the researchers, faculty and students of other educational institutions. The link to the union catalogue below enables you to access catalogues of print, digital and other non-print learning resources of all the fifteen Resource Centres of NIFT. You can also search the catalogue of each Resource Centre through its hyperlink.
