About Library
The Central Forest Library was established on 21.4.1984. It is located in the ground floor of Aranya Bhavan, 18th cross, Malleswaram, Bengaluru. It has collection of Forestry and allied concepts, and is one of the best in the State for Books and Journals in the Fields of Research. The library houses a collection of books, bound volumes of periodicals, Rare books, technical reports, Working Plans, Reports, Lecture notes, Videotapes, CD ROMs and Manuals, etc.
The library also subscribes to Several Indian and Foreign Periodicals to provide the latest information to its users.
The library caters to the needs of its Officers and Officials, Scholars and Environmentalists, Schools and Colleges Students, Civil Service Examinations, External Members and Visitors.
The library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents i.e. useful for the Dept and General public, students and research scholars in the education and research activities.
Services: Borrow, renewal, reservation, and recall, CAS, Recent additions, SDI, Reprographic service, ILL, DDS, Referral service, Display of announcement, Recommendations of documents, Internet Bibliographic search systems, Book reviews etc.,
