Library Rules



1) Membership: All students and staff are members of the library.
2) Book Borrowing:
Students: Can borrow 2 books at a time for 2 weeks.
Staff: Can borrow up to 5 books at a time for 1 month.
3) Library Periods: Books will only be issued during library periods, not during teaching hours.
4) No Marking: Writing, underlining, or marking books, periodicals, and newspapers is strictly prohibited.
5) Reference and Periodicals: Reference books and current periodicals cannot be borrowed and must be used in the library.
6) Late Returns: Late returns will result in a fine, as per the rules.
7) Book Recall: The librarian can recall any book at any time, even before the loan period ends.
8) Book Damage or Loss: If a book is damaged, misused, or lost, the borrower must replace it or pay the current market price.
9) Returning Books: After use, return books, periodicals, and newspapers to their correct places.
10) Library Care: Take care of library furnishings and equipment, and ensure the library is left clean and organized.
11) Food and Drinks: No eating or drinking in the library.
12) No Dues Certificate: Students must obtain a ‘No Dues Certificate’ from the librarian before transferring or withdrawing from the school.
13) Silence: Strict silence must be maintained; speak softly if needed.
