About Library
Ekalavya Campus of Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi is Situated in the state of Tripura. The kingdom of Tripura in its peak included the whole eastern region of Bengal from the Brahmaputra river in the north and west, the Bay of Bengal in the South and Burma to the east during the 14th and 15th centuries A.D. Maharaja Kriti Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur, the last ruler of the princely state of Tripura, Who ruled from 1947-1949, after whom the kingdom merged with India on 9th September 1949 and the administration was taken over on 15th October 1949 with Agartala its Capital. Tripura became a Union Territory on 1 July 1963 and attained the status of a full-fledged state on 21 January 1972.
The Ekalavya Campus of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan is opened on 04-06-2013 in Swami Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya, Mohanpur, P.O - Fatikchera, via - Kamalghat, West Tripura -799210 is nearly 15 kms away from the Agartala capital amidst the natural beauty of Tea Garden. The Campus is now running at Radhanagr, near Buddhamandir, Old IASE building. Within 1 to 2 years the campus will be shifted to its own building at Vill & P.O - Debendra Chandra Nagar (Lembuchera) which is only 9 kms away from Agartala in the same direction. The Ekalavya Campus strives to translate into reality the vision and mission of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan. Goals and objectives of the campus are to preserve Sanskrit Language and its multitudinous disciples of Shastriya Tradition to maintain and elevated standard of Guru-Shishya Parampara. The Campus has started for imparting education in various programmes via Prak Shastri, Shastri & Acharya with Vyakaran, Shahitya, Vedanta, Dharmashastra, Boudha Darshan and Jyotisha subjects to the students. Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed) Course is proposed to start along with other streams. Research Programme leading to the degree of Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D) is also offered.
Welcome to Ekalavya Campus library. Ekalavya Campus Library of the best library of Central Sanskrit University. The Campus library is established in 04-06-2013. The Library is shifted into new building in 1st November, 2021 at Lembucherra and it’s named as Ekalavya Campus Library. It is a main source of Knowledge, which is an integral and important part of our institute of higher learning. Library is the nerve centre of the organization and plays an important role in social & educational growth of the institution. It also plays a vital role by providing a platform in education at all levels. All students, faculty members and research scholars and employees of the university are entitled to make use of the library facilities on taking library membership.
Our library has rich collection of Sanskrit Books viz. Philosophy, Nyaya, Sanskrit Literature, Vyakarna, Dharmashastra, Jyotisha, Religious, History, Education, Bengali, English, and Political Science etc. With a unique collection of around 13516 books and Journals, Periodicals, Reference Newspapers, Thesis & Dissertations the campus library caters to the needs of the students and staff members.
The library users have been changing rapidly and the library is trying its best to adapt with the technological advancement by digitization of the library. The identity of all books and the library users are fully bar-coded and all Library house-keeping operations like, acquisition, cataloguing, circulation and periodicals services have been automated with the help of e-Granthala 4.0.

Library Rules: Working Hours of the Library
Library Time : 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM
Book lending time : 10.00 AM to 5.30 PM
Library closing time : 8:00 PM
Circulation Rules
1. All the students of this campus can borrow the library books for the period of 15 days if the students wish to continue the same book after 15 days, he/she has to renew the book from the library otherwise late fee fine will be charged of Rs.1/- per days.
2. Books borrowed must be returned on or before the due date.
3. Books will be had to be physically presented for renewals.
4. Renewal can be done at any time
5. Books will be renewed if there are no reservations.
6. Users are requested to verify the physical condition of the book/s before borrowing.
