About Library


Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mukhla is located in Thadlaskein, Mukhla village about 10 KM from Jowai the capital city of West Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya. Pin No. is 793151. Mukhla Library is situated at the hearth of the vidyalaya academic block.

The Vidyalaya Library is maintained by the Librarian Mr P. Daiminthang Zou under the instruction and guidance of the vidyalayas Honble Principal Shri. Neeraj Kumar. Total library books are 7088 books which are up loaded in the e-Granthalaya . Inculcating reading habit among the readers is its main aims and objectives.

JNV Mukhla is fully automated with e-Granthalaya 4.0 software Cloud Version in 2020. This library is a student centered library and user friendly.


All the students and staffs of the vidyalaya are the members of the vidyalaya library.


JNV Mukhla Library objectives are:
To inculcate reading habits amongst the students and the reading community of the vidyalaya library
Helping the academic setup of theschool
Helping students in their project works as a source of referencing
Career Guidance and counselling
Imparting GK and current awareness services to the library users


Established in 1991


Library Rules: keep silent in the library
books are issued for 14 days and can be renewed for another 14 days.
No books can be taken out without issuing.


Timing: 8 am to 6 pm
