About Library

The library is the nerve-centre and the heart of the vidyalaya and plays a vital role in supporting, teaching and learning activities, and provides the main source for individual demand at KV Sasaram. Library is meant to help the academic community to keep abreast with the latest development in their area of activities and to provide information support for regular study and academic activities. At the same time for students, the library is a source to get information support for their course curriculum as well as for their self-development. A well-stocked full automated library equipped with latest books and magazines on fiction, non –fiction, science & commerce stream related areas.

With its rich thoughtfully selected books and a number of Periodicals the library complements the teaching learning process inspiring the students to dream high. The library’s capacity is growing over time . A combination of picture books, fiction, Encyclopedias, non-fiction, big books, Biographies, Sample Papers, Magazines, award-winning books and curriculum enrichment materials., makes the Library an inviting and productive learning environment.

The library is dedicated to provide the best collection and service to children, educators and parents. Children are encouraged to start reading at an early age, and for primary students there are series of books appealing to young readers. Newspapers and magazines containing current events are available for student and teacher reference. The School Library is automated with the Library Management Software “e-GRANTHALAYA 4.0” powered by National Informatics Center New Delhi & Recommended by KVS Delhi.

स्कूल की लाइब्रेरी राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र नई दिल्ली द्वारा संचालित और केवीएस दिल्ली द्वारा अनुशंसित लाइब्रेरी प्रबंधन सॉफ्टवेयर "ई-ग्रंथालय 4.0" से स्वचालित है।

The Objectives of PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA Library are as follows:
awaken and foster interest in reading books;
create love for books;
promote reading habits; and
inculcate communication skills through extra curricular activities like storytelling, viewing and discussions on audio/visual programmes workshops, etc.

पीएम श्री केन्द्रीय विद्यालय पुस्तकालय के उद्देश्य इस प्रकार हैं:
किताबें पढ़ने में रुचि जगाना और बढ़ावा देना;
किताबों के प्रति प्यार पैदा करें;
पढ़ने की आदतों को बढ़ावा देना; और
पाठ्येतर गतिविधियों जैसे कहानी सुनाना, देखना और श्रव्य/दृश्य कार्यक्रम कार्यशालाओं पर चर्चा आदि के माध्यम से संचार कौशल विकसित करना।

This library was started as KV Sasaram Library. Priyanka Kumari was the first librarian at its temporary location. The parent organization of this library is shifted to its new location in a permanent building. Avinash Kumar Anjana joined this library as the first librarian at new premises. Later, with its parent organization, it was renamed as PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Sasaram library.

इस लाइब्रेरी की शुरुआत केवी सासाराम लाइब्रेरी के रूप में की गई थी। प्रियंका कुमारी इसके अस्थायी स्थान पर पहली लाइब्रेरियन थीं। इस पुस्तकालय का मूल संगठन स्थायी भवन में अपने नए स्थान पर स्थानांतरित हो गया है। अविनाश कुमार अंजाना इस पुस्तकालय में नए परिसर में पहले पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष के रूप में शामिल हुए। बाद में, इसके मूल संगठन का नाम बदलकर पीएम श्री केन्द्रीय विद्यालय सासाराम पुस्तकालय कर दिया गया।

Library Rules: Library Norms

1. All students and teachers of the PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SASARAM are members of this library.
2. A student can borrow only two books for a period of two weeks and a teacher can borrow five books at a time for a period of four weeks in addition to the text books required to teach for the entire academic session.
3. Books will be issued to the students, during the library periods. No book will be issued or returned during the teaching hours.
4. Marking, underlining or writing on library books is strictly forbidden.
5. Reference books and current periodicals will not be issued to any student. These can be read only in the library room.
6. If the books are not returned within a specified time it will be viewed seriously and a fine may be charged as per rules.
7. The librarian may call for a book at any time, even if the normal period of loan has not expired.
8. In case a book is misused, wrongly handled or lost the person concerned will have to replace the book or pay the full price of the book.
9. A ‘No Dues Certificate’ by each student is to be obtained from the librarian while leaving the school.
10. Strict order and silence shall be maintained in the library.
1. प्रधानमंत्री श्री केन्द्रीय विद्यालय सासाराम के सभी छात्र एवं शिक्षक इस पुस्तकालय के सदस्य हैं।
2. एक छात्र दो सप्ताह की अवधि के लिए केवल दो किताबें उधार ले सकता है और एक शिक्षक पूरे शैक्षणिक सत्र के लिए पढ़ाने के लिए आवश्यक पाठ्य पुस्तकों के अलावा चार सप्ताह की अवधि के लिए एक बार में पांच किताबें उधार ले सकता है।
3. पुस्तकालय अवधि के दौरान छात्रों को किताबें जारी की जाएंगी। शिक्षण समय के दौरान कोई भी पुस्तक जारी या वापस नहीं की जाएगी।
4. पुस्तकालय की पुस्तकों पर निशान लगाना, रेखांकित करना या लिखना सख्त वर्जित है।
5. किसी भी विद्यार्थी को संदर्भ पुस्तकें एवं समसामयिक पत्रिकाएँ जारी नहीं की जायेंगी। इन्हें केवल पुस्तकालय कक्ष में ही पढ़ा जा सकता है।
6. यदि निर्धारित समय के भीतर किताबें वापस नहीं की गईं तो इसे गंभीरता से लिया जाएगा और नियमानुसार जुर्माना लगाया जा सकता है।
7. लाइब्रेरियन किसी भी समय किताब मंगवा सकता है, भले ही ऋण की सामान्य अवधि समाप्त न हुई हो।
8. यदि पुस्तक का दुरुपयोग किया जाता है, गलत तरीके से संभाला जाता है या खो जाता है तो संबंधित व्यक्ति को पुस्तक बदलनी होगी या पुस्तक की पूरी कीमत चुकानी होगी।
9. प्रत्येक छात्र को स्कूल छोड़ते समय लाइब्रेरियन से 'नो ड्यूज सर्टिफिकेट' प्राप्त करना होगा।
10. पुस्तकालय में सख्त व्यवस्था एवं शांति रखी जायेगी।
