e-Granthalaya: A Digital
Agenda for Automation and Networking of Government Libraries -
is a Digital Platform developed and maintained by
National Informatics Centre, Ministry of
Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. Under the platform, NIC Provides Library Management Software with Digital Library Module and
Cloud Hosting facility to Government Libraries on request basis. The Software
is a Cloud Ready Application; and uses PostgreSQL - an
Open Source DBMS as back-end solution. The Software is
multi-lingual, UNICODE compliant, provides an online data entry solution and compliance with library standards.
ई-ग्रन्थालय: सरकारी पुस्तकालयों के स्वचालन और नेटवर्किंग के लिए एक डिजिटल एजेंडा - राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा विकसित और बनाए रखा गया एक डिजिटल प्लेटफ़ॉर्म है।
प्लेटफॉर्म के तहत, एनआईसी अनुरोध के आधार पर सरकारी लाइब्रेरी को डिजिटल लाइब्रेरी मॉड्यूल और क्लाउड होस्टिंग सुविधा के साथ लाइब्रेरी प्रबंधन सॉफ्टवेयर प्रदान करता है।

Parliament for the Union consists of the President and the two Houses, namely, the Rajya Sabha (Council of States) and the Lok Sabha (House of the People); a Union Executive, drawn from both the Houses of Parliament and collectively responsible to the Lok Sabha.
Parliament Library, one of the largest libraries in India after the National Library having excellent collection of books, was established in the year 1921 to assist members of the Indian Legislature. While drafting a new Constitution for independent India, Constituent Assembly of India envisioned the library and overtime it multiplied with rich collection in pursuance to an independent and comprehensive Library and Information services. Parliament Library is one window for the information needs of the users (on parliamentary documents. Present holdings of about 1.7 Million volumes consist of Printed Books, Reports, Acts & Bills, Government Publications, United Nation Reports, Debates, Gazettes and other documents including Periodicals, Newspapers & Publications brought out by the Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha Secretariat.
